BUBBLE DOURBON STUDIO was born in Hattiesburg, MS in the April of 2004.  On this particular night Kennon Hulett and Jaime Jimenez were sitting in a Waffle House, as they were wont to do.  The exchange between the two friends reportedly went something like this:

Kennon: Hey, Jaime – you want to make a movie this summer?

Jaime: Sure.

And thus, Bubble Dourbon was born.  After enlisting the help of Kennon’s brother David, the three indeed did make a film, entitled “The Runner”.

Since that fateful day, six, or maybe even seven films have been made under the auspices of this studio, which might just be the place where some of the greatest films of tomorrow are produced.

The name is derived from a joke that is routinely told by Kennon and David’s grandfather.
